How this works

  1. Look it up yourself. Find support is the whole directory. Search a word like "rent" or tap what you need.
  2. Or just ask. Ask a neighbor takes the question in your own words and points you at one or two places.
  3. Or let a person do it. Get connected is four taps and no account. Someone from the neighborhood gets back to you within a day or two and stays with it.

Nothing here costs anything, and nothing you share is passed on without your say-so.

What's happening

In the neighborhood

Markets, screenings, meetings, classes and sign-ups, posted by partners and checked by a guide.

What's a way in?

Events are gatherings you show up to: markets, screenings, meetings, celebrations. Ways in are things you apply or sign up for by a date: classes, training, accelerators, scholarships.

Ask a neighbor

What are you looking for?

Ask the way you'd say it out loud. It knows every organization in our directory and answers in a few seconds. If something is urgent, the numbers on the home page are answered any hour.

This helper only knows the organizations in our directory. It doesn't give medical or legal advice and it doesn't keep your name. A real person is always one tap away at Get connected.

Get connected

Tell us what you need. A neighbor will reach out.

Four quick taps. A Thriving Neighbors guide responds within 24 to 48 hours.

1
Share a little. Your name, how to reach you, and what's going on. Only what you're comfortable sharing.
2
We match you. A guide who knows the neighborhood finds the right partner and makes the introduction.
3
We follow up. You hear back within two days, and we check in after.

How to use this site

Three ways in, one neighborhood

You don't need an account and nothing here costs anything. Use whichever of these suits you.

If you're a neighbor

  1. Find support is the directory. Search a word like "rent" or tap a need. Every listing is a partner or a place our partners trust.
  2. Get connected when you'd rather a person sort it out. Four taps, no account. A Thriving Neighbors guide reaches out within 24 to 48 hours by text, call, or email (your choice).
  3. Ask a neighbor if you're not sure what to search for. Type it the way you'd say it and it points you to one to three places from the directory.
  4. What's happening is the calendar. Subscribe once and new events land on your phone.
  5. Need someone right now? The numbers on the home page answer any hour: 988, 211, and the domestic violence line.

If you're a partner organization

  1. Your organization is listed in Find support, so a neighbor searching for what you do finds you first.
  2. When a guide meets a neighbor you're right for, they send them to you and check back that it worked.
  3. Your events belong on the calendar. Send us what you're hosting and it goes on the calendar for all eight neighborhoods.
  4. Serve South Atlanta and not listed yet? Tell us and we'll add you.

Partners in the Collective can also get a sign-in to post events and answer the requests we hand them. Ask us about it.

Seniors' corner

A page built with and for the elders of these neighborhoods: bigger type, fewer taps, the things that matter most.

What's planned
  • Rides to appointments and the grocery store
  • Medicare, Medicaid, and prescription help
  • Home repair and staying safe at home
  • Meals, company, and places to gather
  • A phone number that a person answers

In the meantime, these are live now.

For youth

This section will be named, designed, and run by young people from these neighborhoods, with students from the neighborhood schools at the table. Nobody clicks on something called "Youth Corner," so we're not calling it that.

What's planned
  • Programs, teams, and jobs for teens, in their words
  • Events picked by youth, not for them
  • Ways to help run Thriving Neighbors (socials, check-ins, this page)
